The theme of the Ireland 2016 exhibition was “Communications and Home Entertainment from 1916”. and this relates to the REMEMBER theme for 1916. This was an interactive display which showed the means of communication  and also the means of home entertainment from 1916. It featured period telephones, telegraph/morse instruments plus a full range of phonograph, gramophone and music box entertainment from the period. The idea was to give all age groups an understanding of the home entertainment choices and communication methods in both rural and urban Ireland in  1916.
The exhibition was running in The National Maritime Museum in Dun Laoghaire. The items on display were all working models with suitable music from the period.

The Society was previously involved with exhibitions at  Dun Laoghaire Garda Siochana Community Day, Cabinteely House, Airfield Farm Victorian Garden Party, Dun Laoghaire 1500 Celebrations.”The Forgotten Irish” Glasthule Community Centre, Moynalty Steam Rally, the pre1950’s Hollywood Fair in county Wicklow, Prawn Festival Howth, Wells House Victorian Day Dalkey Vintage Day.
